Guided Mathematics Models: Developing a Framework for Meaningful Instruction with Sandi Stanhope

This 3 credit graduate course will focus on building teacher pedagogical knowledge about effective instructional practices.  Teachers will focus on the guided math workshop  model as an effective practice for differentiating and enhancing mathematics instruction to meet the needs of all students.  Teachers will examine current mathematics programs and materials for embedded effective instructional practices.  Teachers will review best practices for instruction.  Recommended for PreK-6 as well as Special Education.  The course dates are:  June 25, 26, 29, and August 10 (8:00 - 4:00), and Sept. 21, Oct. 12 (3:35 - 7:00).  The course will be held at the Mettawee Community School and the cost is $975.  To register on-line go to http://goo.gl/forms/e2jCj3NOge or use the paper registration below.  A more detailed course description is also attached below.
